Rich-Poor Gap

It's in the news that the gap between the rich and poor has grown in the past 20 years in the developing countries. And the government is suggesting that we educate our children so they will grow as responsible grown-ups and hopefully will be financially stable.

The problem is we educate our children to be specialized employees but not financially literate. Then the gap continues to grow and the have-nots will blame corruption. Then a revolution will break out because they can't take it anymore. Chaos sets in then the rich will see opportunities in times of war. And the poor do not. Then the cycle goes on. The gap grows and grows even farther.

Hi ludwig,

Your logic is correct, one of my engineering college professor is telling us
always that as soon as we finish college we should not stick to employment but
instead establish our own business. The have nots in our country are the ones
always interviewed and published by media particularly the people living in the
sidewalks of metro manila. They always complained of hunger due to corruption in
the goverment and Filipino society. The media makes more money during
revolution, chaos and instability and owners of media are the rich and the
haves.

"You are welcome mr ludwigmarkr, wish you more people to be pulled up to having
their own business and employ more Filipinos. Oil is mostly coming from the
middle east but money is mostly coming from asia because without the asians
working in oil companies and support establishment oil flow is less. And as you
can see Computers, mobile phones, home entertainment electronics are made in
asia mainly china and malaysia, the same with cars they are 50 % from asia so
there is no reason a Filipino an asian is not able to create his own business."

In reaction to ****the have-nots will blame corruption****.
The have nots are silent, most of them are obedient. Have you ever
heard them accused anyone of corruption unless they were asked?
Those who have spoken may not be educated as the rich but surely are
not stupid not to know corruption.
It's the opportunity for them that is very rare and elusive.
Imagine a situation when a poor and a working class went to a bank
and file for a loan, the poor have nothing to show as collateral the
other have. Will they given the same opportunity? This is just one
situation that widens the gap. He who has something always received
more privilege than he who has nothing. Let's blame them not on
what they don't have because ot the GREED of those they trusted.

I agree. I just want to point out that gockongwei - once a have not - did not trust the GREEDY. instead, he made his own privilege and opportunity. i blame all the people, haves and have nots alike, who are financially broke because they wait for opportunities that their taxes will be used efficiently. why not consult a professional and efficiently reduce your tax legally?
