Job Security is Obsolete

Job security is now obsolete. I can hear a lot of retirement stories like after they retire, their retirement is not enough for their medical needs. The worst thing that happened was they have to work again or go into business. When they go into business, they become beginners. Being a highest paying and in position in the corporate world doesn't mean you are good in business.

25 year old billionaires are emerging. It won't be long there will be 16 year old or younger billionaires. Things like this are very possible in the information age. The internet is so rich of information the whole world has access to it. Whose got the information has the money.

Last week, when I was talking to two retired ladies, I learned most of their concerns are paying debt and medical expenses. They're now into business and are starting all over again.

Things are really different now. It would be good to be inclined in business early on. Although going into business even in retirement age is not bad, I prefer to be very lazy on those days. Good thing I'm in the business world.

Philanthropy and Lee Iacocca

I don't like philanthropy. My father stick to my head to teach people how to fish rather give them fish. It's a form of philanthropy but to most people it means giving material things. And that's why I prefer to use mentoring than philanthropy.

Lee Iacocca is a good friend of Donald Trump. Both of them are my business heroes. This day I realized Lee is the Chairman of Nourish the Children. And I remember The Donald said if you are rich and you don't want your children to have weak characters, just give them 10% of your wealth but never zero. And I remember a good friend of mine told me, sometimes you really have to give material things or money to help people, not just by teaching them how to earn. My mind was close to that idea of my good friend except today.

I was moved by Lee's speech. And it proved my good friend's argument. For me, I'll save them then I teach them. A great lesson indeed.

Importance of Connections

I saw it first hand how a friend of mine, a businessman, introduces a friend to another friend. When I was a child I always thought rich businessmen are snob. The instance I saw the phenomenon for real, I realized, it's part of their habit why they succeed.

Rich Dad mentioned that success is not much on what you know. It's who you know that is important. It may come across as using a person just to succeed but it's just like wanting a girl and you know her friend. And in my case, I want the guy - the businessman - to be my mentor.

That good friend of mine owns a coffee shop. When I entered the room, we shook hands and exchanged how are you's. He has guests from London and so we talked briefly and we go on with our own businesses. It was funny, the moment I got in, the first thing he noticed was I'm so busy. I hope I don't look older than the last time we met.

I heard him introduce his friends to another friend. Then occassionally he would ask me if I'm ok. I motioned that I am. It's just so cool to witness a concept in business for real! Until now, I couldn't believe I know this guy, someone so successful and I'm just an aspiring entrepreneur.

Back in Davao, when I was not yet into business, I knew the importance of connections. Whenever there was emergency, my father knows who to call to help us. My mother used to tell me that the acquaintances and the time my father spends to his friends are good investments. At first I thought it's some kind of using friends. Then I remember what I learned in college. Humans are social beings.

In business, a network is one factor to succeed. If nobody knows your product, how would you profit? What's great in building connections is that you will know a lot of different people and you will learn a lot from each other. In my experience, I got a very big supporting family. Thank you CA2020.

Success is Inevitable

When I realized it's hard to make up your own business system, my first option was to learn by franchising a business and 2nd was by having a business mentor. I knew then that franchising was harder than having someone guiding you.

My options in franchising was a small food cart with price ranging from Php 20-30. I was searching for a month then I bumped to an invitation to CA2020. I was curious with the 1,000 multi-millionaires by the year 2020. If I were one of the 1,000 then that wouldn't be so bad.

As I was on the process finishing the wealth course and joining the community, still I was open for options. I was still looking for possible franchise and business mentors. When I got in, things changed. I found the business mentors I want and the family that would support me all throughout my life in my quest to success.

With the CA2020 family, success is inevitable. I'm now committed to them for life. I'm committed to be successful and to help others be really successful. With them I continuously learn more about business and investing. I'm now closed from my options of franchising and for seeking a business mentor. But my options of creating big businesses widen day by day with CA2020.

Billionaire Mind

I would say I have a billionaire mind. I always say,"I am rich." When I started to get serious at getting rich I did my best to know everything about business. I told my parents to retire and start doing business because they would be losers when they would just rely on their SSS, insurance and pension plans. We started a single house rental property and improved the farm my mother inherited so we could profit from it and at the same time learn business.

There was never a day we weren't fighting and shouting at each other. My mother would say,"Your father didn't do anything." And my father would say,"Your mother lack plans and that's why things move so slow and now it's a disaster." (Luckily, we finished the two businesses and are now running but didn't have much financial results). I realized then on I needed more leadership skills. I can only do it when I would design my learning environment just like the environment of Robert Kiyosaki had. Robert had his Rich Dad as his business mentor. I decided to look for a mentor.

I also started just how Robert started his journey. I pursued sales. I sold tubao's, sarongs, and malongs. I didn't learn much from it. I stopped the selling idea and considered franchising, as an alternative to a business mentor. As I was searching for franchises, I bumped to CA2020. And there I found what I was looking for.

I found in CA2020 what I have been looking for, business mentors that would guide me. I was expecting only one, but I found a lof of mentors in the community. But what I really got is a large family of business-minded people. And so, there is no way I'm not going to learn to be a great businessman. I got a whole community that would support me and me to them. We will help each other so ultimately we can all have billionaire minds.
